Book lovers, I think we all have one or two of these. Those books that have been read so much they are falling apart and taped back together. I thought I’d share a couple of mine.
Actually both of these books originally started life a library copies, that I then purchased for a small amount when the library replaced them. So they’ve been incredibly well read not just by me but by lots of other people too. I love that history in them and can’t bring myself to replace them.

This is our copy of Judith Kerr’s brilliant The Tiger Who came to Tea. It’s been a bedtime favourite for both of my children and my youngest asks for it regularly. I checked the publishing date for this copy and it was printed in 2007 so it’s holding up well. It is taped together in many placed and looks well loved!

This one is from my shelves. My tatty copy of The Diamond Throne. I’ve read it at least 3-4 times myself and before that it saw hard use as a library book. I can’t bring myself to replace it though even though I could afford to now. There is life to it, a story to a well read book that makes it special.
