Nina – Slayer by Kiersten White
I love Nina and can’t wait to catch up with her again next year. She’s everything a good Slayer should be, feisty, caring and a little tormented.
Elisabeth – Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
Elisabeth was a brilliant heroine. She could communicate with books, was able to adapt her views and more than held her own in a fight.
Tiffy – The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
I adore Tiffy. She has so much heart but isn’t a push over either. She’s a perfectly normal young woman, negotiating life and love in the best way she can. For me it’s her normality that makes her amazing.
Stephanie Plum – Plum series by Janet Evanovich
Stephanie on the other hand is definitely not your average everyday woman. She’s a walking disaster zone who in real life would have dead many times over. She is however, witty, loves her Grandma, is kind to he friends and just about walks the line in a messy love life. She never fails to cheer me up and for that she earns a place on this list.
Carol Jordan – Tony Hill and Carol Jordan series by Val McDermid
Carol is a million miles away from Stephanie. A serious, damaged police woman who has made a name for herself while catching brutal serial killers. Carol has to battle her own demons too but doesn’t shy away from doing so.
