Do you have a favourite SFF Publisher? #WyrdAndWonder

Until I started book blogging I never really paid a lot of attention to the publisher of the books I was reading. I knew the authors I liked and looked out for books in my preferred genres but the publisher never seemed that relevant.

Book blogging has certainly opened my eyes to the sheer amount of work a publishing team puts in to a book and the impact that has on all sorts of things. As a result I now find myself looking at the publisher as much as anything else. For me I think it is one of the smaller presses that’s smashing it when it comes to new SFF books at the moment – Rebellion Publishing‘s imprint Solaris have produced some real page turners over the last couple of years – they always have amazing cover art too.

Stack of books from Rebellion Publishing's Solaris imprint.

If you want to see my reviews for some of those in the stack they can be found using the following links, Grave Secrets by Alice James, Seven Deaths of an Empire by G. R. Matthews, Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse. Also in the stack are The Chimera Code by Wayne Santos and The Liar of Red Valley by Walter Goodwater.
