A time slip in Versailles, problems in the Ice Age and illegal time travellers in need of rescue. Must be a job for the Time Police.
Luke, Jane and Matthew are back and ready to cause havoc – inadvertently or otherwise – in their latest adventures.

This book was such good fun. I loved being back in the company of Team Weird and catching up on their adventures. It was so nice to see them as more of a Team this time after the events of Doing Time had bought them closer together.
These books are such a fun mix of snappy one liners, off the wall actions and genuinely heart breaking moments that reading it really keeps you on your toes.
As I did with Doing Time I love the whole idea of the Time Police and the background that lead to the need for them. The technology is amazing but really comes in secondary to the characters here. Again though we have the wonderful juxtaposition of the the silly with the serious. Team Weird aren’t allowed proper weapons yet being only trainees (probably a good thing) so instead are sent into situations with what can only be described as a can of silly string that unlike the toy hardens on impact. It still feels very toy like through!
A fun, fast paced read, I look forward to the next outing from Jane, Luke and Matthew.
